I love this card! I think it is a combination of the colors of the paper and the image of the owl!
When my daughter saw this card she said she was going to take it. I think she wants to lose a hand or something because if she took just one it would mess up the sets I have! *okie thinks she might be a little OCD since she can't let go of one card from a set, she has to let go of a full set if she lets go of one*.
Cricut Expression
Cricut carts - Create A Critter; Mickey Font; George
Cuttlebug; D'Vine Swirls folder; Swiss Dots folder
Cardstock - Stampin Up, Core'dinations Whitewash; Prism
Patterned paper - Stampin Up
Stickles - Diamond
Stampin up markers
Cat Eye Inks
Spareparts brads
I really like how the moon that is behind the owl turned out. I used the Core'dinations Whitewash paper there and it looks so cool after it is embossed and sanded! I pop dotted the owl and the sentiment on the front. I also cut the leaves twice and layerd with pop dots.
You can't really see it too well but if you click the picture you might be able to, I used Diamond Stickles for the owls belly feathers.
I so totally put the Hoot going the wrong way *okie will never learn not to talk on the phone while crafting* so I had to cut the thing a part and rearrange the white background and the patterned strips. Luckily it worked out okay!
If you would like the cut file for this card you can find it here... YOU'RE A HOOT
Tonight is Stamp Club so I will be spending the afternoon and evening with my friend Linda, aka LGuild. We are suppose to check on booking motel rooms for the Great American Scrapbook Convention that is in June at Arlington Texas. I also get my Stampin Up stuff tonight so I am so excited!!
Tomorrow I will be posting the giveaway for a slighty used prize so don't come back if you don't like used products! *okie cracks up laughin*
This is another cute card. Do you make these at stamp camp? You have to start making two of everything and one for you and one for your daughter but don't glue hers. Give her the kit and some tape. LOL Well then she might see some of the work in it. Your too nice I know you won't do it.
ReplyDeleteI doubble dare you.Hee hee
Adorable Okie!!! I can certainly see why your daughter is looking to pinch this one. hugs, eileen
ReplyDeleteI love this card also!!
ReplyDeleteThat is the cutest owl I have seen on any card. I just love it. Make a whole set of 4 for your daughter and she can have them all and won't mess up your sets!
ReplyDeletewho doesn't like used product? can you say "garage sale"?
ReplyDeleteI really like your color scheme on this card - way to go Okie! Took you up on the cut file - TFS!

ReplyDeleteI just can't hardly believe you won't let Shaine have this one...lol.. AND what is the Great American Convention... is it like the Stampede???
ReplyDeleteI adore this one!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, my friend :)
ReplyDeleteAnother cute card! I need to get me some of the coordinations paper. The last time you gave us the heads up on the sale, I had my cart all loaded up, got distracted by life, came back the next day and the sale was over...so sad. Next time I'll know better. Have fun at your Stamp Club tonite!

Linda - I usually make 4-6 of a card when I make them. But she still ain't gettin one! LOL
ReplyDeleteSandy - GASC is Great American Scrapbook Convention. It isn't like the Stampede really. It is HUGE. There are crops, classes and a lot of BIG name vendors there and the prices are fantastic!!
That is one adorable little owl okie! You should give one to your daughter and the rest of the set to me lol, then that would mean you got rid of a set! lol!
ReplyDeleteWow, I really like everything about this one. I need to go home and copy cat this :) Thanks for the constant inspiration! I'm all about "gently used" stuff, can't wait til tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteLove this card! I have Critters but haven't used it yet -- am scrapping next weekend so I'll be having so much fun with it and you are getting my ideas rolling.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Okie! Jill

ReplyDeleteThank you so much for this post. I want to let you know that I posted a link to your blog in Creative Busy Hands Cricut Freebies Search List, under the Elements post on Apr. 07, 2011. Thanks again.
ReplyDeletelove the cards also have a ? for you the promarkers you got are they water based saw some markers today at joannes there was a set of 6 and a set of 12 i think and they said water based promarkers wasn't sure if this was what i needed to buy
ReplyDeletePaulah the ProMarkers I use are Alcohol markers. The alcohol markers blend wonderfully, water base will streak when coloring over or doing some blending.
ReplyDeleteJust a quick note to let you know that a link to this post will be placed on CraftCrave in the Cutting category today [08 Apr 01:00am GMT]. Thanks, Maria

ReplyDeleteI'm enjoying your cards ! I didn't think I'd like this cart before I saw your cards !!
