I am really loving this little fat cat. I first saw him when my friend Linda, aka LGuild, bought a set of stamps with him during one of our excellent adventures. When she saw this class available I was excited about going so I could get the fat cat *okie often likes to think of herself as a fat cat since she likes to lay about and be lazy and stretch her fat body across the couch*.
Supplies used:
Penny Black "In the Garden"
Making Memories patterned paper
Cardstock - Stampin Up Crushed Curry; Paper Studio Kraft
ProMarkers
Sakura Gelly Roll Stardust Pen
Punches - Stampin Up 1", 1 1/4" circle punches
Tim Holtz Disterss Ink - vintage photo
3/8" ribbon
I wasn't sure about coloring the basket in brown, but since that is what we did in class and I was to lazy to experiment it is what I chose to do. I colored the whole basket with vanilla and dthen went on the horizontal with a brown *okie can't remember what brown and thinks she really needs to start writing down the colors* and then used a darker brown on the vertical areas. Ya might need to click the picture and make it larger to see.
For the small flowers I just used a dark pink in the center and then went over with a lighter pink, coloring the whole area. The leaves are Marsh Green and Pear. Those are easy to remember because it is one of my favorite color combos for blending.
The coloring was simple on the images. I used the same method for the cat as I posted yesterday. For the butterfly I just used orchid and purple and then hit a few areas with the Stardust pen. I am not even sure if you can tell I used the pen on the butterfly in the picture, but trust me *okie figures since she is an honest injun people will take her word* I did.
I am really diggin the color combo on these cards, but since red is included I am sure how I could not dig it *okie so loves the color red*. It does help since the paper came in a pack and that is one reason I love packs....you always know your chit is gonna match and look good!!
OHHHHH MY GOSHHHHHH OKIE! I recently purchased some Promarkers and have been playing with them...BUT I THOUGHT YOU WERE SUPPOSE TO STAY IN THE LINES???!!! I feel so LIBERATED after seeing your cards! You are such a REBEL! A free liberated woman after which I can model myself! LOL! Thanks for sharing!

ReplyDeleteLove it. I am seriously considering biting the bullet and buying markers, but I don't know if I can stomach the expense...
