I decided to step out of my comfort zone and make some odd color ladybugs! *okie has a hard time accepting ladybugs in any other color than black and red* The ladybugs are a border from Walk In My Garden. I didn't add a sentiment and this allows me to stamp what I want on the inside so it can be a birthday, thinking of you or just a hello card.
Supplies Used:
Cricut Cartridge Walk In My Garden
Cuttlebug folder Floral Fantasy
Cosmo Cricut Girl Friday patterned paper
Prism color cardstock
Kraft cardstock
Flower Wedding confetti (found at Michaels)
Spare Parts brads
Janome Sew-Mini
Signo UM-153 white gel pen
Stampin Up Creamy Caramel marker
3/8" grosgrain ribbon
Corner Rounder punch
The stripe pattern paper is cut at 5.25 x 3.25 inches and the flower patterned paper is cut at 5.25 x 2 inches. The orange cardstock is cut at 4 x 2.75 inches and then I used a corner rounder on the top two corners.
I used a zig zag stitch to attach the patterned papers together and then used a straight stitch around the outside edge. I used my ATG gun to adhere the patterned mat to the card base.
Here is a close up picture so you can see more detail on the card.
I would post more about the card but I am watching Transformers on TNT right now. So if you have any questions....well don't ask because I really want to watch this movie! I have seen most of it but I never got to see the end!! *okie so hopes the cars don't die*
hi Okie...I haven't been around in awhile...trying to keep my own blog and life alive i hardly have time to comment. I did take a look at all the projects i didn't see before and i love the chair, umbrella on the beach. totally cool. I mean, all the projects are awesome...like this last one I am commenting on....you do beautiful work but you already know that.

This is super cute and your Kansas neighbor would have trouble making ladybugs another color too.
ReplyDeleteNo question, just a comment! Love those ladybugs! Wonderfully awesome card!!! :)
ReplyDeletereally cute even if they aren't the 'true' colors :) TFS!
ReplyDeleteI like the use of real machine stitching with the use of gel pen stitching...it adds a lot of interest to the card. The little flowers are so cute and easy to use. Who would not love to get this card? Great job!

They are just too stinkin' cute!! TFS!! ;-)
ReplyDeleteI like the Ladybugs that color. Sometimes it's hard but fun to make things another color than it's normal color. Your bugs look like those Japanese 'Terrible' Beetles. Ladybugs sound better. LOL.
ReplyDeleteLove the "odd" colored lady bugs.... we all need to use our "artistic license" every now and then.
ReplyDeleteI love it,it's very springy!
ReplyDeletep.s. I didn't want the car's to die either :)
Love the ladybugs..the colors are perfect!
ReplyDeleteSuch a great card!! I love the stitching and extra elements you added. Thanks for sharing Okie!!
ReplyDeleteI love this card :) So beautiful with all the nice colors! Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI'm a black & red ladybug kinda girl myself, but you've shown me that other colors really do work! The white pen detail really makes them stand out. Thanks for leading the way "outside the box" for those of us who are not so brave & daring in the color department.
